Danny Dion, Bear Slashing's President, believes in a team concept to ensure that the company's Safety Program is effective and achieves its objectives. These objectives are to set and maintain the highest standards for:

- Learn and practice habits that are respectful to the environment
Bear Slashing's on-going commitment to its workers, clients and the environment is evident in many of the company policies and practices:
- Holds a Certificate of Recognition (COR) - View Certificate;
- Holds a British Columbia Certificate of Recognition (COR) - View Certificate;
- Has been recognized as a Best Safety Performer by Worksafe Alberta, a joint initiative between industry, labour & government;
- Ensures that all employees are trained and certified to industry standards and supplements this with in-house company training programs;
- Strictly prohibits the use of drugs & alcohol in the workplace and conducts testing of employees and sub-contractors;
- Supports Supervisors in achieving and maintaining safe worksites by providing the tools, equipment, resources and managerial backing to correct unsafe situations at the field level;
- Requires that a manager visits each on-site crew at least once a month to conduct a safety inspection and make corrections or improve work-related procedures if required;
- Applies a quality assurance process to each and every job done, including: equipment inspections, site representative communications, and post-job follow-up reporting;
- Recognizes and rewards employees for excellence in safety performance.
